Blog users should learn how to upload and install a custom blogger design. When we make a blog, a basic Blogger design will be installed, but you'll also have the chance to choose a different one. On the other hand, beginners often don't like the basic blogger design because it doesn't have many different features.

So, they attempt to upload and install a new template they can use repeatedly. Even though Google Blogger is free, there are millions of free blogger templates that you can use on your blog. Because of this, millions and millions of people like bloggers a lot. Even though this is a guide for people who have never used Google Blogger.

I will show you two easy ways to upload and install a blogger template. Let's say you already have your favorite blogger design on your computer. Most of the time, the file ending for a blogger template is.xml. For example, if a template is called "Blogger Theme," its file name might be "blogger-theme.xml." So let's upload the.xml file to your blog.

Method 1: Use Blogger To Upload The Blogging Design.

This is the official way to share and install the blogging design into the blogger website. Follow these steps to do it:

  1. Step 1: Sign into your blogger and visit your homepage.

  2. Step 2: On Blogger Dashboard, Click (Top Right) > Template > Backup/Restore.

  3. Step 3: Click the Select File button and choose your template file from the window.

  4. Step 4: Figure out where the file with the extension.xml is for the blogging design. Once you've chosen, click the "Open" button.

Method 2: Upload The Design For Blogger Directly From Notepad.

We often need to use this method when we want to install a blogger template. You can do that if you're already using a blogger template but want to switch to a different one. If we put a new template on top of an old one, some widget code may be transferred to the new Template. On top of that, some templates show an error, which makes it impossible to post. So, you can follow the steps below to install a new Blogger design with fresh code:

  • Step 1: Open the XML file in a text tool like Notepad. You can simply right-click on the template file and choose "Open with" > "Notepad."

  • Step 2: Copy all the text by pressing Ctrl-A and Ctrl-C in Windows.

  • Step 3: Go to blogger and sign in to your blogger account.

  • Step 4: On Blogger Dashboard Template > Edit HTML

  • Step 5: Select all the old code in the Editor HTML window and paste the fresh code you copied from Notepad into the code field. Then click Template> Save.

You are done. You may utilize any way that makes the most sense to you. And don't forget to make a copy of the old Template before loading the new one. But if you run into any trouble, let us know.

How to Edit Google Blogger Templates

Consumers increasingly look to blogs for the latest news, helpful tips, and reviews on any topic. Keeping a blog for your small company is a good way to get more people to visit your website, make more sales, and add interesting material. You can use your blog to promote your goods and services in a serious and fun way.

Google Blogger makes it easy to make blogs and gives you a lot of free layouts that you can change to fit your needs. With Blogger's Layout tool, you can easily change parts of your structure. This is particularly useful for people unfamiliar with HTML and CSS.

  1. Go to the Google Blogger home page and sign in with your username and password. This will take you to the Blogger Dashboard, whereby you can find the style you choose earlier.

  2. Click the drop-down arrow next to "View Blog" and choose "Layout" to add, remove, or change tools. To add new blog gadgets like pictures, links, text, and groups, click "Add a Gadget." You can change their position by dragging them to where you want them. The logo, navbar, sidebar, biography, blog posts, and blog history are all examples of parts. A sidebar element is where you can put some information about your business, as well as contact details, links, and anything else that has to do with your business that you want to show off. Click "Preview" to see the changes, and "Save Arrangement" when finished.

  3. To change the fonts, colors, background, and other features, click "Template" on the left. If you know HTML and CSS, you can choose "Edit HTML" to change the code of your page right away. If you don't want to do that, click "Customize" to open the Template Designer.

  4. Click "Background" to change the general color scheme of your template using the color selection. You can click on the background image you already have to look through the gallery for a different one or click "Remove Image" to remove it.

  5. Click "Adjust Widths" to change the blog's width as a whole or sidebar. Slide the controller right to make the width bigger or left to make it smaller. You can see how your changes will look as you modify them below. Click "Layout" to move the gadgets on your blog around again.

  6. Click "Advanced" and then "Page Text" to change your fonts' type, size, and color. You can pick from a list of text fonts and a color range based on the color theme you choose. Backgrounds, Links, Blogger titles, Posts, and Add CSS are also in the Advanced area. Each area has a color selection and a text field where you can type in the numeric code for the color you want.

  7. In the bottom tab of the Template Designer, you can see how your changes will look, and when you're happy with how they turned out, you can click "Apply to Blog" to make the changes public.
